BEST place in AMERICA for Thanksgiving
They say that everything is bigger in Texas, NY is the city that never sleeps, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but Turkey Day in KC has one of the oldest traditions in America.
2017 marks the 88th Annual KCP&L Plaza Lighting Ceremony.
Two Kansas City Chiefs Players (Alex Smith & Derrick Johnson) will flip the switch at 6:54pm with fireworks immediately following.
There will also be LIVE performances all night.
I covered this event in 2014 when Alex Gordon and Dayton Moore of the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals flipped the switch.

The Kansas City Plaza Lights spans 15-blocks which totals 80 miles of lights!
Lights are strung beginning Labor Day and removed by Jan. 13th.
It’s one of the biggest events if not the biggest annual event in Kansas City with crowds nearing 100,000.
I’m covering the ceremony again this year and it’s a beautiful 60º Thanksgiving Day in KC.

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!!
